Our Mission

Casa de Mariposa’s mission is to minister the love of Jesus Christ to women who are pregnant and in need by providing for their physical, emotional and spiritual needs in a residential setting and by helping these women achieve their immediate and long-term goals toward self-sufficiency.

Casa de Mariposa expects to provide help and hope in the form of four fundamental services in order to achieve the outcome described in its mission statement. Those services include:

1. Residential housing provides safety, security, stability and the opportunity to build familial/community relationships with others.  (food, clothing, shelter)
2. Bible based discipleship encourages learning to know and build a spiritual relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. 
3. Life skills program offers specific services in the area of mental, physical and emotional well-being through various agencies and individual resources, as well as the health of the mother and unborn child. (ISD, WIC, pregnancy care centers, medicaid, family counseling, etc.) 
4. Employment and/or educational opportunities through planning, preparation, job searches and coaching.  (state and federal assistance, pell grants/financial aid, community employer partners, web job-sites, employment agencies, etc.)

Casa de Mariposa is a ministry established as a non-profit corporation under the applicable laws of the state of New Mexico and approved by the IRS for the tax exempt status under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Casa de Mariposa is established in the Spirit of Christ Jesus to encourage and equip our resident mothers to experience a new beginning. Wherever they may be in life, we believe God can bring a new perspective that will change their lives. The values that guide us in our work are: Love, Forgiveness, Grace, Joy, Community, Peace and Excellence.

Casa de Mariposa exists to provide service to women who have chosen life, and either made a decision to have their child to parent and need assistance in parenting,  or in executing an adoption plan.
